Title of the Talk: Can AI change the paradigm of medical research? A personal overview and a glimpse at the future.
Bio: Dr Anjan K Das has a professorial appointment at the School of Medicine in the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences at Taylor’s University, Malaysia. He is a cardiothoracic surgeon by training and has wide-ranging experience in surgery, clinical research and stem cell applications in medicine in various Medical Colleges in the Public and Private sector in India and abroad. He has held appointment as Head of the Department and COO of a major teaching hospital in the past. He has also worked in the corporate sector as a Director of Clinical Research for a stem cell startup company for 5 years.
He has had several grants from the Malaysian Government; Taylor’s University and the Institute of Medical Research, Malaysia and now has two students who are completing their research for higher degrees by research under his guidance. His principal research interests at present include stem cell applications, use of technology for clinical research and ethical problems in medical practice.
